i’ve just reread hamlet for the first time since high school. i was surprised to not be totally baffled by the language and pretty much had an idea what was going on the whole way through. man, what a soap opera. it’s like elizabethan jim thompson. my wife, sharon, is teaching hamlet in queens at a cuny school so i thought i would read it and take advantage of the opportunity to understand it...
